Position Overview: Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral and academic assistance to a kindergarten student within a general education setting to ensure successful inclusion. Collaborate with the Lead Teacher during daily 15-minute pre- and post-instructional blocks to align on lesson modifications and progress monitoring. Facilitate safe, structured transitions during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal, ensuring a seamless hand-off with caregivers. Support the student in navigating social interactions and classroom routines, including modified schedules on early-release days.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Instructional Assistant (IA) Credential
• Alternatively: We welcome candidates that meet local educational agency requirements for Paraprofessionals of 48 college units or a passing score on the ParaPro exam
• Proven experience working with elementary-aged children, specifically in a 1:1 capacity or within a kindergarten environment
