About The Position
The Instructional Aide is responsible for providing academic support to individual students or small groups of students to help them succeed. Assists the teacher in providing a wellorganized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
- Demonstrates ethical, courteous, patient, and professional behavior in working with the administration, staff, students, and families.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong skills and concepts in all academic areas.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education is preferred.
- Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
- Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is preferred.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
