About The Position

The Institutional Relations Manager will serve as the primary liaison with a portfolio of higher education institutions, driving engagement, enrollment, and collaboration in international education and study abroad programs. This role combines strategic relationship management, consultative sales, and program promotion to enhance institutional partnerships and student participation. You will work closely with internal teams to align resources and deliver exceptional service while representing programs at events, orientations, and conferences. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with domestic and occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of consultative sales experience, preferably within higher education, international education, or study abroad programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and implement strategic plans effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with U.S. academic institutions and experience navigating complex institutional frameworks.
  • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and high energy, proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand relationships with study abroad offices, faculty, and institutional administrators to increase student enrollments and program participation.
  • Develop and execute strategies for portfolio institutions to enhance engagement, diversify participation, and strengthen brand presence.
  • Serve as the primary contact for institutions, providing guidance, hosting student and faculty activities, and representing programs at events and orientations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer engagement, program marketing, and strategy implementation.
  • Maintain detailed records and manage institutional profiles in CRM systems, utilizing data for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Oversee and coordinate on-campus strategies with Admissions Advisors and Campus Ambassadors to maximize outreach and engagement.
  • Plan and implement annual goals and seasonal strategies in partnership with leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
