The Institutional Events Assistant will assist the Logistics Strategist in performing duties required to successfully facilitate events on campus. This role requires great attention to detail and management of many simultaneous tasks without much supervision and with impeccable customer service. Job functions include arranging events across campus for departmental and student groups. This includes writing agreements, regular phone and email communication with clients, creating room diagrams using a computer program, handling any special requests, ensuring all campus policies and procedures are being followed, answering the office phone, providing excellent customer service and other tasks as assigned. May assist or coordinate various activities and tasks for execution of events or hospitality services Provide excellent customer services to internal and external partners May coordinate logistics to ensure all services are delivered on time and meet quality standards May be a source to provide information, answer inquiries and resolve issues May participate in meetings related to planning and coordinating events or hospitality services May conduct presentations to provide updates to internal and external partners May create feedback or event survey(s) May collaborate with Marketing and Communications for branding and advertising May identify and recommend improvements for events or hospitality services May assist with outreach and promotion of upcoming services or events Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance
