About The Position

An Installation Specialist at Liberty University installs, repairs, upgrades, and maintains a wide range of graphics across various campus surfaces, including walls, floors, and windows. They are skilled in preparing surfaces, using tools like knives and laminators, and applying graphics such as wraps, signs, and banners with precision and care. Specialists troubleshoot independently on job sites, communicate solutions, and ensure proper use and maintenance of departmental equipment. Committed to quality and efficiency, they consistently meet production goals while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent is required
Ability to become lift certified
Vinyl application and/or sign installation experience preferred but not required
Must possess well-developed communications and critical thinking skills
No experience needed
To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner
Ability to logically solve problems
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates
Strong organizational skills
Excellent computer skills
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
Required to travel to local and campus locations.
Required to operate in extreme weather conditions.
Ability to operate powered and non-powered tools and equipment according to specified safety requirements
Ability to accurately measure and place graphics prior to installation.
Ability to operate light hand tools
Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
Required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
Required to climb ladders, work in confined spaces
Become lift certified
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
Regularly lift 70 or more pounds.
Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

Perform finishing operations such as weeding, cutting, laminating, grommets and mounting of printed pieces to various substrates.
Keeping work area clean and organized.

Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.
Can work overtime or travel when needed.
Other responsibilities as required on an as needed basis.
