About The Position

DSS, Inc. is a leading health information software development and systems integration company, offering services and solutions utilized daily by thousands of clinicians and administrative staff across both public and private sectors nationwide. Overview The Installation Specialist is responsible for installing DSS and partner company software at client sites, both on-site and remotely. This role requires a disciplined, efficient, and logical approach to all assigned tasks while ensuring installations are completed accurately and on schedule. The Installation Specialist also represents DSS, Inc. in a professional and positive manner, maintaining strong working relationships with clients and internal team members. Extensive travel required (road warrior role) Travel primarily to the East and Central Coast. Local Candidates Only: This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work at our North Palm Beach, FL office two days per week.

Requirements

  • Installation of software that is proprietary in nature.
  • Client installation and technical support or customer-facing support activities.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring MS Windows-based operating systems (Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11, etc.)
  • Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Understands new applications of a proprietary nature.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects.
  • Works effectively (maintaining accuracy and sensitivity) under tight timelines and schedules.
  • Senses the importance or impact of issues and situations and takes appropriate actions.
  • Organizes time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions, and setting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and etiquette
  • Excellent detail and organizational skills
  • Ascertains the technical skill level of the client and adjusts the level of assistance to meet their requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • May be subject to travel up to 50% of the year after training as directed by management.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Equivalent combination of work experience and\or education is considered.
  • 1 + years of experience in a similar role performing software installation on-site at a customer location or via remote technologies.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role performing software installation on-site at a customer location or via remote technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Installs DSS and partner company's products into our client's computer systems either on-site or remotely.
  • Coordinates and provides installation and follow-up services to internal and external clients on the products they are assigned.
  • Installs and maintains current versions of DSS and partner company's products on the DSS Installation Services test lab environment.
  • Collects all necessary information necessary to certify the readiness of sites for installation.
  • Attends pertinent kick-off and conference calls regarding the installation.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates documentation including installation manuals, certification forms, user lists, and reference guides.
  • Writes and submits accurate and thorough installation reports in a timely manner (within 48 hours, 2 workdays).
  • Works with product teams to develop documentation and workflow for the installation of new or updated software.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for one or more products as assigned.
  • Maintains and updates Jira Projects and sub-tasks for Installation Services.
  • Performs training classes to internal clients on products that are lead-on.
  • Travel a minimum of 24 weeks per year, which may include weekend travel. Travel could entail being out 2-3 complete weeks. Travel will be booked according to DSS' policy. Travel on short notice when deemed necessary.
  • Provides feedback to management on ways to improve efficiencies in Installation Services
  • Other duties as defined by the Senior Manager, Government Installation Services.
