Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Related Associate Degree or 2 or more years’ relevant experience.
- Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training.
Responsibilities
- Connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, maintaining, installing and rearranging Company and customer-provided equipment, inside wiring, and wires at poles, underground or building terminals.
- Making necessary preparations required for splicing, rearranging and terminating cable conductors.
- Installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology.
- Operating trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner.
- Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications.
- Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and distinguishing audio tones.
- Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.
