The Installation and Maintenance Manager oversees the full lifecycle of tolling system field operations, from equipment installation to ongoing maintenance and system readiness. This role ensures high‑quality execution, safe work practices, and reliable performance of all roadside tolling and ITS infrastructure. Installation Oversight Direct day-to-day field installation activities for tolling and ITS systems, including gantry equipment, roadside cabinets, lane equipment, vehicle detection systems, AVI readers, cameras, network equipment, communications infrastructure, and power systems. Supervise field crews, technicians, and subcontractors performing installation work. Verify installation is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements. Coordinate field sequencing, site access needs, and installation readiness with internal teams and site stakeholders. Identify and escalate field conflicts, constructability issues, damaged equipment, missing materials, and installation constraints. Verify field labeling, cable management, equipment mounting, grounding, and workmanship standards. Ensure as-built markups and field documentation are completed accurately. Maintenance Operations Lead preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for tolling infrastructure and associated field systems. Assign and oversee maintenance tasks for technicians and service personnel. Establish inspection routines, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting workflows. Monitor asset condition, recurring failures, and maintenance response performance. Support diagnostics and repair of tolling field devices, communications equipment, power systems, and related infrastructure. Coordinate spare parts usage, equipment replacement, bench repair, and warranty support activities. Drive root cause identification and corrective action for repeated equipment or system failures. Testing and Operational Readiness Support field verification, device checkout, and readiness activities prior to formal testing. Ensure installed equipment is properly configured, powered, connected, labeled, and ready for integration and test teams. Support resolution of field issues identified during testing and commissioning. Verify punch list items related to field installation and maintenance are completed. Support turnover of installed systems into operations and maintenance status. Safety, Quality, and Compliance Enforce field safety procedures and safe work practices for employees and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with traffic control requirements, electrical safety standards, roadway access rules, and company procedures. Perform field quality inspections and verify compliance with workmanship and installation standards. Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, failures, repairs, and field observations. Support audits, safety reviews, and quality inspections as needed. Team Leadership Supervise installation supervisors, field technicians, and maintenance personnel. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to field teams. Train personnel on tolling equipment, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting methods, and field best practices. Support workforce planning for field execution and maintenance coverage. Communicate field status, issues, and resource constraints to the Project Manager and relevant internal stakeholders.
