About The Position

As an Inspector/Operator, you support the Pouching department by optimizing output, reducing waste, and maintaining high quality and safety standards. You assist in producing products that meet customer specifications, build technical knowledge of the manufacturing process, and continuously improve through teamwork.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts
  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform tasks in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to work safely in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of bag/pouch machines and filmhandling fundamentals; troubleshooting ability desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read dimensional templates (metric and standard) and apply them to finished products.
  • Ability to read a ruler to mm or 1/32”.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Good visual acuity for product inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all Inspector/Packer duties proficiently.
  • Support operators on your shift, including running machines, assisting with changeovers, and handling startups/shutdowns.
  • Train new team members in Inspector/Packer and Inspector/Operator roles.
  • Use computer systems to monitor and adjust process variables.
  • Communicate clearly through shift logs and provide proper shift relief.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and SOP compliance.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others.
  • Build knowledge of equipment, processes, and operating standards.
  • Monitor waste and productivity and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Keep your work area clean and orderly.
