About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for Inspecting and repairing carpet rolls.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Work in a fast past industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.
• Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to step up and down off catwalk multiple times during shift.
• Capable of squatting, bending, stooping several times during shift.
• Travel 20-30 feet in a short period of time several times during shift.
• Able to maneuver in narrow aisles.
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift
• Must be applicable to all JHA’s
• On The Job Training (OJT) Other as required
• Air hose
• Scissors/duckbill
• Carpet knife
• Gloves
• This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems, and potential problems, encountered while performing the job.
• This position has the responsibility of the quality and safety of his/her own output and their co-worker.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rolls
• Assign defects
• Enter quality information into computer
