ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Office of the County Executive plays a central role in leading and supporting the work of Marin County government. We serve as the primary office serving the Board of Supervisors and help guide Countywide operations, strategic planning, and policy development. Our responsibilities are broad and interconnected. We manage the County's $860 million budget, coordinate cross-departmental efforts, lead public communications and engagement, and support major initiatives such as climate resilience, housing, racial equity, and emergency preparedness. We also oversee internal operations, including County facilities and key administrative functions that keep local government running smoothly. Our office brings people together-within government and across the community-to address complex challenges and improve services for all residents.
