As a Receiving Inspector, you will work hands-on supporting multiple production centers in Courtland Alabama through the inspection and processing of mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical parts and systems. This position is for Monday -Thursday, second shift; 4X10 work schedule. What will you be working on? You will be Inspecting products/materials for our production centers that are from approved LM suppliers or other LM sites and will validate the workmanship, dimensions and ensure documentation conforms to the product requirements. You will disposition parts for test or outside inspections based on inspection plans or program requirements You will perform acceptance or rejections and generate non-conforming documentation (Q-Notes) for hardware that does not meet product specifications or requirements You will perform inspection and handling of Hazardous materials/chemicals You will perform inspection and handling of Ordinance material Support other areas of Quality as required Other tasks as assigned The position will be eligible for overtime as needed. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of SAP software/database or other ERP software/database systems
  • Ability to interpret product specifications, drawings/blueprints
  • Basic Computer/MS Office skills/look up specifications/military standards
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Can work independently/self-motivated
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must be a US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Security Secret Clearance. Must obtain an Interim Secret prior to start

Nice To Haves

  • Highly Proficient in SAP or other ERP software/database
  • VECAMS/ AF experience
  • Able to use calibrated inspection equipment to validate dimensions or features
  • Inspection/QA experience (Aerospace Standards)
  • GD&T experience
  • Experience with inspecting the fabrication of cable and harnesses (IPC, NASA and or equivalent certification)
  • Experience working in aerospace, spacecraft or missile production
  • ASQ certified Inspector
