Position Summary: Based in Haltom City the Inspector C will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Quality Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident cardholders.
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum zero to two years in the heat treating industry or related field.
  • Must have working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology.
  • Must have some experience reading/interpreting blueprints, be detail-oriented, and possess manual dexterity.
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of commercial and aerospace materials and heat-treating equipment is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required.
  • Complete conformance and other related paperwork; perform shop audits and/or reviews as required.
  • Report any deviation, problem, or irregularity to the supervisor or management.
  • Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other tasks as designated by the position.
  • This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
