PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS: Inspects job loading, framing, skinning, riveting, cementing, and mating of subassemblies and assembly for conformance with applicable specifications. Inspects and/or witnesses, approves or rejects the assembly, modification, repair and operational checkout of production or modified components, parts, and aircraft up to the point of fully completed aircraft. The Aircraft Assembly and Modification Inspector will verify conformance to engineering prerelease or released drawings or sketches, heat treat, processing, finish to applicable standards and specifications. Inspects products for adherence to latest design or modification changes, customer of F.A.A. requirements and Company specifications exercising a knowledge of structures assembly, electrical systems, functional systems, accessories. Inspects plastic parts and assemblies made from uninspected tooling as required. Inspects the incorporation of design and modification changes on parts and assemblies described herein. Identifies and records all nonconforming conditions in designated company computer systems providing clearly detailed statements of conditions utilizing and providing references to the required engineering specification, blueprints, drawings, technical data, work instructions etc. associated with the completeness of planned and unplanned operations. Provides Preliminary Review (PR) repair dispositions of non-engineering required repairs to discrepant nonconforming conditions in accordance with Blueprints, Engineering Drawings, Technical Data and Standard Repair Manuals. Must be willing to work any shift and work schedules.
