About The Position

As a CEI Inspector Aide, you will be responsible for performing basic mathematical calculations and following simple technical instructions. Your duties will be to assist higher-level inspectors performing field surveying and construction layout verification, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.

Requirements

Must be High School graduate or equivalent
Must obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT within the first six months of employment
Ability to work in a team environment.
Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime (Hourly).

Responsibilities

A daily documentation of the contractor's work efforts.
Project field book preparation and documentation.
Density logbook preparation and documentation.
Material sampling and testing.
Assisting with preparation of the Final Estimate package.
Measure distances to verify the accuracy of dimensions of construction activity/layout.
Observes work in progress to ensure that proper construction procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.
Obtains and/or prepares material samples for laboratory testing.
Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
Records quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities.
