About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Inspection Technician I is to, under supervision, execute all functions of inspection of robotic vehicles and subassemblies as outlined by the released OMS (Operations Method Sheets) and provide feedback to management any discrepancies in the materials that have been return. The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence is dedicated to supporting service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support activities. We manage the shipping, receiving, and material handling for repair-related materials. Our primary focus is on meeting the repair and service material needs essential for customer service. The team works in close collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate material movement and transaction processing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Computer knowledge using Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Initiative-taking and highly organized.
  • Able to lift 60 pounds and can stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
  • Hands-on skill set required; ready to learn, absorb, and utilize information in a demanding environment.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous experience in the Machine Shop or Manufacturing Assembly Environment.
  • Experience with ERP applications such as SAP or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Inspected incoming materials.
  • Under limited supervision, determine repair actions required and replacement parts needed.
  • Provide feedback to the Quality team about received materials to determine warranty status.
  • Maintain Quality Inspection requirements and results to properly record inspection data.
  • Accurately document inspection data, observations, and retain paperwork and electronic records in compliance with approved procedures utilizing Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement of inspection procedures, specifications, and processes.
