WSP is currently initiating a search for an Inspection Coordinator at our client's office in New York, NY.

Requirements

  • A BS/BE degree from an accredited college/university in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience in engineering, inspections, and audits. Railroad engineering/inspection experience is a plus.
  • NY or NJ PE registration desired.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as there will be day-to-day interactions directly with the client and other client contractors.
  • Excellent computer skills and fluent in the utilization of MS Office.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination support to inspection staff.
  • Have the ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Perform quality assurance review of inspection reports and project documentation, and sign off.
  • Develop inspection and testing protocols/processes, as based on specification requirements.
  • Perform technical reviews and consultation to client as required.
