About The Position

Provides quality assurance and inspection oversight for maintenance and complex maintenance projects. Ensures all work is executed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. Supports inspection planning, execution, and documentation while coordinating with operations, engineering, and contractors.

Requirements

• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Local candidate preferred – Carlsbad, NM
• Required Certification: AWS CWI
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 required

Nice To Haves

• Strongly Preferred Certification: NACE Level 2
• Strong welding background preferred
• Quality control/quality assurance background preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection oversight on maintenance and project-related activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Review and verify welding activities in accordance with applicable codes and procedures
• Ensure adherence to ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 standards
• Monitor contractor quality performance and provide feedback on deficiencies and corrective actions
• Support development and execution of inspection and test plans (ITPs)
• Verify material integrity, installation practices, and documentation accuracy
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure quality expectations are met
• Maintain inspection records, reports, and turnover documentation
• Participate in audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
