About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul machinery and vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Record details of repairs made, and parts used. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Use diagnostic equipment to properly diagnose and reprogram ECU’s when needed Prepare list of parts for estimates/orders Work with service office to keep customers up to date Maintain a clean work environment Continue training to meet OEM requirements

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software.
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 3+ years of service technician experience
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Sit/stand/kneel for prolonged period of times

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certified preferred, but not required
  • Kubota Registered Technician preferred, but not required
