About The Position

The Inside Sales Specialist supports the Automation Solutions business by managing sales opportunities, customer inquiries, and lead development through virtual channels. This role partners closely with Outside Sales, Application Engineering, and internal teams to deliver quotations, manage opportunities in CRM, and drive revenue growth while improving customer satisfaction. This position plays a critical role in pipeline development, opportunity execution, and customer engagement, serving as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, partners, and incoming leads. Requirements

  • Associates degree in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or related field preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in inside sales, industrial automation, technical sales, marketing, or manufacturing environments
  • Comfortable with outbound cold calling and proactive customer outreach
  • Demonstrated willingness to engage in outbound prospecting and cold‑calling activities to generate new opportunities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn products, applications, and quoting tools
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable delivering digital presentations
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and business applications
  • Ability to learn, manage, and own transactional quoting processes using internal tools and applications

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or related field
  • AutoCAD experience a plus (ability to review, measure, and interpret facility layouts and customer concepts)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound cold calling and proactive outreach to identify new sales opportunities and develop pipeline
  • Manage incoming and outbound sales leads and assign or advance opportunities based on account ownership
  • Qualify inbound inquiries and outbound prospects and move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Identify sales opportunities and support defined revenue and growth targets using a team‑based selling approach
  • Independently manage and execute small, transactional quotes by learning, owning, and utilizing Regal Rexnord quoting applications and digital tools
  • Enter RFQs, manage opportunities, and deliver quotations using CRM and quoting systems (e.g., Salesforce and internal apps)
  • Develop working knowledge of pricing structures, lead times, and standard configurations to efficiently support quote turnaround
  • Escalate complex or engineered‑to‑order opportunities to Application Engineering or Outside Sales as appropriate
  • Serve as a primary virtual point of contact for assigned customers, channel partners, and end users
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs to recommend appropriate automation solutions
  • Build and maintain productive, professional relationships to increase customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Drive adoption of Regal Rexnord programs, tools, and solutions among assigned accounts
  • Maintain accurate opportunity data, activity tracking, and forecasts within CRM systems
  • Prepare and maintain sales activity and KPI reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence)
  • Support sales planning and SIOP processes through timely opportunity updates and reporting
  • Work collaboratively with Outside Sales, Application Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams
  • Support execution of BU playbooks and marketing initiatives to maximize new business opportunities
  • Share customer feedback and market insights to improve solutions, processes, and customer experience
