About The Position

Inside Sales Representative supports sales operations for a bakery ingredients manufacturer by managing customer accounts, processing orders, and promoting BakeMark’s product lines, including mixes, icings, fillings, frozen dough, and other bakery solutions. This role partners closely with outside sales, manufacturing, and distribution teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and exceptional customer service for retail and commercial bakery customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in bakery, food manufacturing, or ingredient distribution
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage high-volume orders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers ordering bakery products such as mixes, icings, fillings, frozen dough, and specialty ingredients
• Process customer orders accurately, including pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and product specifications
• Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and promotional information to customers
• Support outside sales representatives with account management, follow-ups, and sales initiatives
• Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery
• Manage customer records and sales activity in CRM and ERP systems
• Resolve customer issues related to product availability, substitutions, or delivery concerns
• Assist with forecasting demand and supporting promotional programs
• Build strong, long-term relationships with bakery, food service, and wholesale customers
