Position Summary We are seeking a Mid-Level Inside Sales Representative to join our State College, PA team and support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and system integrator customers. The Inside Sales Representative serves as the primary inside sales point of contact for assigned customer accounts, partnering closely with Account Managers, Business Development, Capture, Engineering, Contracts, and Operations teams. This role supports the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity development and quoting through order processing and delivery—within a regulated, compliance-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting technical products and complex customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of inside sales, sales operations, or customer support experience.
  • Strong product knowledge and experience supporting technical, engineered, or highly regulated products.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales documentation processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and clear communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government, defense, or aerospace customers.
  • Familiarity with export compliance regulations (ITAR/EAR).
  • Experience with configuration-based quoting or engineered-to-order products.

Responsibilities

  • Customer & Account Support Serve as the primary inside sales contact for assigned DoD/IC customers and system integrators.
  • Partner with Account Managers to provide tailored solution recommendations aligned with customer mission needs and compliance requirements.
  • Support Account Management, Business Development, and Capture teams with customer background, account history, and opportunity context.
  • Sales Execution & Quoting Prepare complex quotations, including configuration-based pricing, service agreements, and multi-year support packages.
  • Review proposal inputs and coordinate internally with engineering, finance, and contracts teams.
  • Lead internal approval processes for pricing, terms, and exception requests.
  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting Maintain assigned sales pipeline and ensure high data accuracy within CRM systems.
  • Contribute to monthly forecasting and revenue tracking activities.
  • Analyze customer buying trends and historical demand to support forecasting and sales strategy.
  • Order Management & Compliance Receive and review Purchase Orders for accuracy, coordinate resolution of missing or incorrect information.
  • Acknowledge order receipt and ensure alignment with approved quotes and opportunities.
  • Match orders to corresponding quotes and CRM opportunities.
  • Assist with export compliance requirements, including end-use statements and technical data controls.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, approved pricing, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Contracts on NDAs, TAAs, LOEs, and basic proposal documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination Track order status and support Account Managers with customer communications and reporting.
  • Assist Sales, BD, and Capture teams with RFI/RFP responses, technical clarifications, and documentation.
  • Coordinate product configuration questions with engineering, product management, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Support delivery coordination and customer-requested order changes.
  • Travel Attend tradeshows, customer meetings, annual sales meetings, and other business events as required.
