About The Position

The Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) plays a critical role in executing GP Strategies’ business development strategy by driving proactive outbound engagement with prospective customers. This role partners closely with business unit leadership to identify, engage, and develop qualified sales opportunities that support revenue growth and market expansion. Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in outbound inside sales or business development roles.
  • Strong communication skills with a consultative, customer‑centric sales approach.
  • Proven ability to manage executive‑level conversations confidently.
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Self‑directed and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet aggressive activity targets and tight deadlines.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and managing sales data effectively.
  • Solid understanding of B2B selling and solution‑based sales.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, outbound prospecting, or business development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute proactive outbound sales and prospecting efforts targeting prospective customers identified by GP Strategies’ business units.
  • Meet or exceed daily and weekly call and contact activity objectives.
  • Generate a consistent pipeline of high‑quality leads aligned to business development goals.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records within GP’s CRM system, including: Customer contact details Prospecting notes and insights Activity tracking (calls, meetings, touchpoints) Active opportunities and follow‑ups
  • Ensure opportunities are kept current and sales activities are well documented.
  • Effectively articulate the value of GP Strategies’ services across targeted market segments and customer needs.
  • Lead consultative conversations with prospects, including executive‑level stakeholders.
  • Support collaboration between GP leadership and prospective customers through coordinated introductions and handoffs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report weekly outbound activity data and campaign performance metrics.
  • Communicate weekly progress, insights, and results to GP leadership.
  • Proactively request support when needed and provide recommendations to improve outreach strategies and effectiveness.
