Inside Sales Representative - Building Materials
About The Position
Join the team at Lensing Building Specialties, a trusted supplier of commercial and residential building materials serving the Tri-State area for over 75 years. We provide high-quality products such as doors, windows, trim, millwork, hardware, cabinets, countertops, and specialty building supplies to contractors, builders, architects, and homeowners. We're looking for a customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Evansville office. This role is essential to providing exceptional support to our customers and external sales team-helping ensure every order and project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Requirements
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Previous customer service or inside sales experience preferred (1-3 years)
- Experience with building materials, construction products, or related industries a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn ERP systems quickly
- Strong math skills (percentages, discounts, pricing calculations)
- Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail

- Additional education in business, construction management, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and external sales staff
- Provide product information, quotes, and order support for building materials and related products
- Process, manage, and follow up on customer orders using Lensing's ERP system
- Identify customer needs and recommend solutions to ensure satisfaction
- Handle a high volume of calls and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery
- Follow up to confirm customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly
