About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and converting fire safety deficiency opportunities into revenue within an assigned territory. This role works closely with field technicians, operations teams, and customers to evaluate inspection findings, generate accurate quotes, and drive timely follow-up to close business. This is a fast-paced, execution-driven role that requires strong attention to detail, consistent follow-up, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable making daily outbound calls, managing a high volume of quotes, and closing sales while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Fire protection industry experience is required.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in fire protection, life safety, or related industry required
  • 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or customer-facing role
  • Strong communication skills (phone and email) with ability to close business
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate deficiencies submitted by technicians following inspections
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotes including labor, materials, equipment, and applicable charges
  • Approve and manage technician-submitted cases on a daily basis
  • Close approved opportunities and convert quotes into scheduled work
  • Contact customers via phone and email to present and explain proposals
  • Ensure follow-up within 24–48 hours on all submitted quotes
  • Address customer questions, objections, and pricing concerns to drive close rates
  • Maintain strong customer relationships while driving urgency on open opportunities
  • Work closely with operations teams to schedule approved work efficiently
  • Coordinate with technicians and field teams to ensure accuracy of scope and execution
  • Partner with vendors and distributors to obtain pricing for materials and labor as needed
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of open quotes and opportunities
  • Track activity, follow-ups, and outcomes within CRM systems
  • Meet or exceed monthly individual and team sales targets
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all quotes, communications, and customer interactions
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations
