About The Position

Assist growing business by proactively and skillfully identifying opportunities, developing relationships and selling products and services to both current customers and targeted prospects within assigned territory. Assists Area Sales Representatives through order fulfillment, technical support and issue resolution and serves as liaison between the customer and the company. Provides excellent customer support, guidance and product training to customers via phone as appropriate. Identifies additional business opportunities within existing customers as well as opportunities to apply cross-selling and up-selling techniques. Generates phone calls to customers to advise them of promotional items, specials and/or new products. Builds and maintains customer relationships. Responsible for sales growth in assigned MOP states. Supports sales efforts throughout the organization, including: Assists Area Sales Representatives to prepare and execute sales plans. Directs sales leads in a timely manner to appropriate personnel. Qualifies sales leads and sources and developing client referrals. Assists Area Sales Representatives to prepare effective presentations of company products and services to current and prospective customers. Performs administrative tasks such as booking appointments, preparing sales presentations and addressing transactional issues. Assists Area Sales Representatives in keeping customer relationship database up-to-date with customer needs, budget, timing and other data helpful in managing relationships. Travels occasionally to customer locations to build relationships, understand needs of customers, and solicit business. Maintains clear and concise sales records as required and assists in the preparation of monthly sales reports (e.g., reports indicating what a customer has processed in the past). Processes orders, works to resolve issues and provides technical support to Area Sales Representatives and other internal functions. At the direction of supervisor, performs periodic quality checks on product and service delivery satisfaction and promptly addresses any identified issues. Provides proper service level to customers by managing the activity of the other departments that interact with account. Processes credits and returns, daily, for entire Dispense Division, which allows customer to receive credit for item(s) being returned. Liaison with UPS in handling damaged items, advising UPS of cost and freight charges for reimbursement purposes. Assists Operations Manager, E-Learning, Florida, on Web inquires with regard to system or installation problems. Works with Warehouse Supervisor on problems such as wrong item shipped, and follows up on returns. Effectively uses multiple software/computer systems to service accounts. Maintains high level of current product knowledge, customer base and knowledge of the market. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Additional duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related field experience within the Industry and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage duties through careful planning, resource allocation, time optimization, detail orientation and prioritization.
  • Possesses knowledge of principles and methods for selling products or services. This includes product demonstration, phone sales techniques and sales management systems.
  • Relates to customers and colleagues in an open, friendly, accepting manner and shows sincere interest in others and their concerns.
  • Anticipates and takes action to meet customer needs in a high quality cost effective manner that ultimately fosters customer satisfaction.
  • Possesses knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity and other pressures.
  • Effectively communicates with customers, colleagues and managers via phone, email and face-to-face.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, web-based applications and email programs.
  • Reads and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos and writes effective correspondence via letters and emails.
  • Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, ratios and percentages.
