About The Position

The primary function of the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is to generate profitable sales of electrical supplies in the technical, wholesale, and manufacturing industries. The ISR is directly responsible for identifying customer needs to develop and sell solutions that maximize Shanor product offerings and services. The ISR fosters and develops relationships with our customers via phone and indirectly through our Outside Sales personnel. This position is also responsible for negotiating pricing, special incentives, managing customer relationships and assisting logistics for timely and accurate delivery of materials and products to our customers. Requirements

  • Two years’ relevant sales experience
  • Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads, positioning value-added services and closing business.
  • Must be fast-paced, goal-oriented individuals who can provide world-class service to our customers.
  • Must be able to learn products, sales processes, and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Outstanding sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to maintain profitable sales
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Responsibilities

  • Identify new clients through a variety of methods, including networking and cold calls.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
  • Apply knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and service agreements; prepare contracts and submit orders.
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and appropriately distributed products.
  • Periodically prepare and report results, the status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Understand basic electrical principles and inter-relationship between electrical, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Additional tasks as company needs change.
