We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Estimator at our Nashville, TN office. This position plays a key role in supporting the sales process by preparing accurate and timely estimates for power generation systems and related products. Your role will be crucial in ensuring Nixon provides top-notch services and exceptional customer experience, fostering business growth and retention. Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail oriented, organized, and deadline driven.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is required.
  • Previous experience in sales estimating strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of power generation systems, electrical systems, or construction is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of power generation systems, electrical systems, or construction is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for generator systems, parts, and related services based on customer requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to review project scope and ensure estimates align with customer expectations.
  • Research and source pricing for materials and equipment from vendors and suppliers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide technical product information, and offer recommendations tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates and quotes.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and product developments.
  • Support the sales team with additional tasks and special projects as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
