About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative – Commercial Knife Sharpening will drive the growth and expansion of ZWILLING’s professional knife sharpening services across the food service and hospitality industries. This role blends inside and outside sales responsibilities with lead qualification and preparation for field sales reps. You’ll balance direct client engagement, account management, and operational planning to ensure efficient service coverage and exceptional customer experiences. Acting as both a frontline representative and strategic support partner, you’ll build strong relationships with chefs, restaurateurs, and kitchen professionals while managing service schedules and routing logistics for sharpening specialists in the field.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the food service, hospitality, or related industry.
  • Proven ability to balance inside and outside sales responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Passion for premium kitchen tools, culinary craft, and delivering top-tier service.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to visit clients and support field operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with route planning, scheduling, or dispatch coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and close new business opportunities within the hospitality and food service sectors for professional knife sharpening and related services.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow existing client accounts through proactive communication, responsive service, and solution-oriented sales.
  • Key Account Sales & Maintenance: Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key regional and national accounts, ensuring consistent service quality, contract adherence, and targeted sales growth through proactive communication and customized support plans.
  • Inside Sales Support: Manage inbound inquiries, prepare quotes, and coordinate follow-ups to ensure a seamless client experience from first contact to execution.
  • Outside Sales Engagement: Conduct on-site visits with key clients and prospects to strengthen partnerships, assess service needs, and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify additional product and service opportunities across ZWILLING’s portfolio to drive incremental revenue.
  • Collaboration: Partner with leadership, sharpening specialists, and logistics teams to align sales performance with operational excellence.
  • Market Insight: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to refine strategic approaches and support continued business growth.
  • Lead Generation: Identification, research, and preparation of qualified leads for sales representatives
