Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least three years selling physical products (or equivalent sales experience)
• Professional sales training
• A strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• A skillset incorporating great attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop new business, concentrating on end-users, such as original equipment manufacturers, steel fabricators, and government agencies
• Strengthen existing customer knowledge and relationships to grow annual tonnage sales
• Provide quotations, enter orders, confirm orders and provide excellent customer service
• Organize and structure daily / weekly plans consistent with objectives, goals and sales targets
• Diligently master Company software applications
• Coordinate with other Company departments, including production and shipping
• Learn about marketplace competitors (strengths and weaknesses)
• Identify and capitalized on new products and markets
• Promptly provide feedback to others regarding time sensitive information (such as pricing, dates, comments and credit) in person and via email, phone or text
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities according to policy
• Advance sales training through industry classes and workshops
