About The Position

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented person to fill the role of Inside Sales and Marketing Coordinator. This person will support Great Plains and Land Pride territory managers and dealers in the United States to promote and sell GPM ag, compact utility, and construction products. The Inside Sales and Marketing Coordinator’ primary responsibility is engaging in phone conversations with Territory Managers, Dealers, Retail Customers, and Ag Producers as well as order entry tasks and communication with manufacturing, shipping, and trucking. This is an on-site position based at the corporate office in Salina, KS. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overnight travel of up to 20% per year is required.

Requirements

  • High regard for Customer Service
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and power units, compact utility tractors and implements, and relative experience and understanding of the ag market and ag products
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work effectively with limited direct supervision.
  • IBMi experience helpful, but not mandatory
  • Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Travel of up to 8 weeks per year may be required

Responsibilities

  • Assist Territory Managers and Dealers with questions regarding: GP and LP Sales Programs, Prices, Availability, and Shipping Schedules
  • Explain product features, benefits, and typical uses of the product
  • Communicate product features, benefits, and typical product uses to dealers, prospective customers, and end users
  • Communicate with manufacturing plants and relay product status and schedule to TMs and Dealers
  • Track sales support functions including, but not limited to, Option Returns and Demo Unit Registrations
  • Follow up with TMs, dealers, and growers on unresolved sales questions
  • Assist with sales and service training sessions for dealership personnel as needed
  • Track and help sell company inventory on consignment account, bargain warehouse, aged, marketing account, and other inventory as needed
  • Attend annual sales meetings, regional sales meetings, Kubota Connect, and dealer meetings, as requested by the Director of Marketing
  • Maintain knowledge of full product line, both new and existing products, through personal development and product training attendance
  • Periodic work at trade shows as required by Director of Marketing
  • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
