The Inside Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales and is responsible for leading the inside sales team to drive revenue growth through proactive account management, quote generation, order processing, and customer relationship development. This role focuses on supporting both new and existing customers in industrial sectors that rely on mission-critical gas detection solutions. The Inside Sales Manager will collaborate closely with outside sales representatives, product management, marketing, and service teams to deliver value, solve customer challenges, and achieve sales targets. Supervisory Responsibilities: Hires and trains front-line employees Organizes, directs, and oversees the schedules and work of front-line employees Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of inside sales representatives / account managers to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals Oversee the full sales cycle for inbound leads, inquiries, and existing accounts: qualify opportunities, provide technical product recommendations, generate accurate quotes, negotiate pricing/terms, and close orders Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in target industries Partner with outside sales team members to support territory coverage, coordinate on larger projects, and ensure seamless handoffs Work with product management and engineering to specify the right gas detection solutions for complex customer applications involving Ammonia and other industrial gases Drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities, including calibration services, portable detectors, controllers, and accessories Monitor sales pipeline, forecast revenue accurately, and report on key performance indicators Handle customer inquiries, objections, and post-sale support to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business Stay current on industry regulations (IIAR, OSHA, etc.), competitor offerings, and CTI’s full product portfolio Participate in trade shows, webinars, and industry events as needed to generate leads and promote the CTI brand Contribute to continuous process improvement in quoting, CRM usage, and sales operations
