About The Position

The Inside Sales Manager is a key position responsible for managing all aspects of the inside sales department from an operational, personnel, and sales perspective. This role involves leading and motivating a team to achieve sales targets, overseeing customer pricing and quotes, maintaining accurate sales reporting, and providing coaching and mentoring to the inside sales team. The manager will also be responsible for evaluating and improving sales processes, managing complex sales negotiations, implementing metrics-driven processes, and handling performance reviews and employee development plans. Additionally, the position requires resolving interpersonal issues, scheduling and leading department meetings, reporting to senior management, and ensuring accurate data capture in the customer relationship management system.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Business Management or similar discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in a sales driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people with a positive and motivating style.
  • Experience working in or managing inside salespeople in a call center type environment.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining metrics and analytics to track success, shortages and trends.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little to no direct supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills/ a strategic thinker.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HDPE and/or related pipeline industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by IPP's safety and health policies and procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Understand the Mission Statement.
  • Motivate and lead team to deliver monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales numbers.
  • Monitor and control all customer pricing quotes.
  • Ensure supervisor reviews all pricing quotes over $75K.
  • Use sales tools to maintain accurate reporting of leads and pipeline.
  • Oversee the daily output of the inside sales representative team.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching for inside sales team.
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline of sales leads and activity.
  • Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach daily goals.
  • Coordinate department activities and project to meet project timelines.
  • Evaluate and improve inside sales processes.
  • Ensure that the inside sales team is functioning according to company policy & procedures.
  • Manage complex sales negotiations and coach team to manage them.
  • Implement a metrics driven process with a strong emphasis on tracking and analytics.
  • Manage performance & salary reviews and develop employee development plans.
  • Resolve interpersonal issues within and outside the department and escalate, if required.
  • Schedule and lead department staff meetings, workshops, and functions.
  • Report to senior management on metrics, opportunities and deficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationships management system.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication with inside sales team and supervisor.
  • Provide regular data quality checks.
  • Other duties as required.
