About The Position

The Sales Intern will support the Sales team by assisting with lead generation, customer outreach, market research, and sales operations. This position provides hands-on experience in a professional sales environment, offering exposure to customer relationship management, sales strategies, and business development activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in pursuing a career in sales or business development.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis is helpful.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications.
  • High level of patience and service.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sales team with prospecting, lead tracking, and pipeline management.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, markets, and competitors.
  • Support preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
  • Update and maintain accurate data in the CRM system.
  • Participate in client calls, meetings, and sales events when appropriate.
  • Assist in coordinating marketing and promotional activities that support sales initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Sales department.
  • Develop an understanding of business concepts and terminology.
  • Support the identification of customer segments and assist in basic segmentation tasks.
  • Gain exposure to customer behavior, preferences, and market trends.
  • Create basic visualizations of business data using Excel. Be prepared to present as needed.
  • Learn to present data visually for easier interpretation. Be open to a variety of methods.
  • Help in preparing basic reports and documentation.
  • Develop the skill of communicating findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist in assessing the impact of price changes on sales and revenue.
  • Assist in conducting market research for basic customer insights.
  • Contribute to a repository of pricing decisions and strategies.
  • Learn to adapt pricing strategies in response to changing market conditions.
  • Learn to identify potential risks associated with pricing strategies.
  • Assist in evaluating and mitigating risks in pricing decisions.
  • Contribute to the team's objectives and understand the company's overall goals.
  • Interpret and create basic reports and visualizations of business data using Excel
