About The Position

Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3300 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Inside Sales Coordinator– Tank Container for our Tank Department in our Houston, TX office.

Requirements

  • Must have minimum 2 years of experience in ISO Tank Container in the Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess the ability in problem-solving and experience in managing customer complaints
  • Must have the ability multi-task and to deal with dynamic problems and variables.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload, work independently, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Generates new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Recommends alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Presents price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
  • Obtains accurate vendor cost information and maintains cost tariffs as basis for customer quotations.
  • Processes customer quote requests accurately and timely.
  • Recommends items needed by customers proactively to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Increases sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
  • Contacts customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint.
  • Fills requests for catalogs, information or samples.
  • Remains current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor meetings and reading trade journals.
  • Sets up and maintains customer files / information in CRM program.
  • Identifies trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
  • Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works effectively with other members of the Sales and Operations team.
  • Maintains proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
