We are currently seeking a customer-centric and reliable Inside Sales Associate to join the Pacific Plumbing Supply team in our Commercial Department! Requirements

  • One to three years of sales experience preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of plumbing products and supplies is preferred.
  • Professional and upbeat demeanor with excellent customer service skills, including exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with using a multi-line telephone system, good working knowledge of MS Suite, and a general understanding of working within a computer network.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Ability to be responsive to customer needs and follow through on sales and other items in your area of responsibility.
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as while being part of a GREAT TEAM!
  • Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with commercial customers by phone and in person to assist with quotes and daily sales.
  • Coordinate sales with project managers, estimators, branches, and vendors to ensure we are selling the appropriate items, quoting correct pricing, and meeting all customer deadlines.
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, shipping costs, and time requirements.
  • Quote current product lines we represent whenever appropriate and possible.
  • Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in producing quotes for customers by assuring submittals match, resolving discrepancies, and analyzing results.
  • Ensure that all required paperwork is completed accurately, including coding, costing, and pricing, and that all administrative, accounting, and credit-related procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications, attending product knowledge meetings and educational workshops, as approved.
  • Coordinate deliveries and will-call orders with customers and our warehouse staff.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Assure smooth processing of returns by communicating with customers, branch personnel, and vendors. Follow through on all paperwork to be sure returned product is restocked or returned to the appropriate vendor promptly.
  • Communicate with the commercial department manager, branch manager(s), and purchasing department to buy products as needed and/or about any product shortages or outages.
  • Pull customers will call orders from the warehouse shelves as necessary.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by management
