Learn more at www.hbfuller.com. Position Overview The Inside Sales Account Manager grows existing customer accounts while developing new business within an assigned territory. This role focuses on proactive account management, consultative selling, and achieving revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical/mechanical or marketing field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of professional sales experience managing accounts and technical products
  • Proven success in prospecting and new business development
  • Strong communication, organizational, and consultative selling skills
  • CRM proficiency; Salesforce experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Customer Engagement Develop long-term customer relationships through proactive account management aligned to customer business needs
  • Establish and document buying trends and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts
  • Manage sales at existing accounts and expand business within assigned territory
  • Conduct technical discussions to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate product and service solutions
  • Influence and gain alignment with internal and external decision-makers and influencers at all organizational levels
  • Periodically visit customer sites as needed
  • Sales Activity & CRM Management Complete 25–35 call activities per day
  • Meet targeted customer meeting levels (primarily telephone meetings)
  • Record all customer conversations and opportunities accurately in CRM
  • New Business Development Identify, develop, and close new business using tools such as LinkedIn
  • Conduct cold calling, market research, and lead sourcing
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers and build strong professional relationships
  • Develop, enter, and maintain opportunity data within CRM
  • Close new business, including pricing recommendations and contact development
  • Sales Planning & Financial Accountability Develop and execute a regional sales plan
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Manage assigned sales budgets ($2–8 million) efficiently and within established guidelines
  • Implement approved pricing strategies
