About The Position

1 Position Title: Inside Paint Sales Representative Store: Paint StoreReports To: Store Manager / Asst Manager Date: May 8, 2025 FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Hours: Minimum 30 HRS. Flexible to needs of White’s Lumber, Inc. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Employee must possess a valid Driver’s License and has a minimum of three years of experience in sales. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ? Assist in the day to day operation of the paint department. ? Place special orders in a timely fashion. ? Complete Benjamin Moore “Product School” within six months. ? Adhere to Company safety policies and rules. SPECIFIC PAINT DUTIES: ? Wait on customers, be able to write up regular or special orders. ? As needed, tint paint by properly using paint mixing machines. ? Assist in the Paint department planogram resets. ? Stock paint products as necessary, filling “filling out of stocks” with backstock storage. ? Maintain general cleanliness in Paint Department by removing trash daily, periodic dusting, straightening of merchandise. ? Maintain tint Machine/Paint shaker by cleaning tint dispenser nozzles daily, purge tint machine at beginning of shift, fill tint reservoir’s in tint dispenser as needed, report any issues to Paint Manager & Store Manager. GENERAL SALES DUTIES: ? Prepare sales tickets, including unit prices and extensions with totals. ? Quoting prices in response to telephone inquiries. ? Computing and quoting small estimates for customers that do not require blueprint takeoff. ? Handling customer complaints. ? Approve returns and issuing credit memos. ? Provide advice to customers on proper materials, their usage, and techniques, especially to do-it-yourselfers. ? Familiarizing oneself with a wide range of knowledge about products and construction techniques. ? Being familiar with special order items available.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to lift 75 lbs
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
