Inside Counter Sales - Bi-Lingual
About The Position
This opportunity reports to our Morehead City location in the beautiful eastern North Carolina beach area. Well established location serving customers since 1947. If you are bi-lingual, have a passion for customer engagement, and a knowledge of building materials, this job is for you! Compensation is heavily incentivized with no earning ceiling. Position Summary: Acts as primary salesperson for walk-in customer traffic. Interacting with customers to understand their needs and recommending product solutions. Process orders, receive payments, and assist customer with delivery or pick-up process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience in sales, preferably in the lumber & building materials industry.
- Required be fluent in English and Spanish (bi-lingual).
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or higher is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, offering guidance on product selection and providing information on promotions and discounts.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product range, including lumber, building materials, hardware, and related products, to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
- Assist customers in placing orders for special order products, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience.
- Work closely with other team members, including warehouse staff, to ensure a smooth and coordinated operation.
- All other duties as needed or assigned.
