About The Position

BASIC FUNCTION: responsible for representing the company in developing excellent customer relationships with all existing and potential customers through informative, efficient and friendly service.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Able to complete basic math and measurement skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Building material knowledge and or experience, preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • To be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Communication (verbal communication, persuasive impact, listening, written communication)
  • Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand and sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to talk and hear.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders in person or on phone
  • Assist customers with their products in store
  • Stocking shelves
  • Provide a high level of customer service to ensure clients complete satisfaction
  • Develop relationships with customers responding to their questions efficiently and courteously
  • Efficient communication with dispatcher coordinating delivery requests to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions, up-selling additional products and supplies for each job
  • Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers in a timely manner
  • Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
