At MCE, as Inside Account Managers, you'll own a portfolio of accounts across the fluid power and industrial distribution resellers space serving as a trusted advisor, growing relationships and closing business. Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, inside sales, or a similar role with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills able to build trust quickly and convey technical information clearly.
  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage a full account portfolio remotely without losing momentum.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in fluid power distribution or industrial sales hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid connectors, or related fields.
  • Technical understanding of fluid power components and systems.
  • Experience in a remote sales role managing accounts across a broad geography.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of accounts, building strong, lasting relationships that drive loyalty and long-term revenue.
  • Proactively engage clients to understand their evolving needs, surface new opportunities, and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to analyze performance, identify growth opportunities, and develop account-specific strategies.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across hydraulic, pneumatic, fluid connector, and related product lines.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts negotiating pricing and terms to win new business and secure renewals.
  • Stay sharp on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to spot new opportunities before they're obvious.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolve issues quickly, and ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint.
  • Monitor order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and delivery to make sure customers get what they need, on time.
  • Coordinate with internal technical, operations, and post-sales teams to deliver seamless support across the customer lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, account notes, and sales activity in CRM daily.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product and service strategy.
