About The Position

Our production positions are quite structured in order to consistently produce our products with minimal quality variation. Our shop floor operators work hands on to manufacture product needed for customer demand and to meet on time delivery for optimum customer satisfaction. Basic Background requirements are: · Successfully Interview with relevant hiring team · Successfully pass pre-employment drug test · Previous production experience helpful but not required Key Performance Objectives Include: Week 1: · Complete required HR, Safety, Quality and Benefits Orientation · Complete KEJ-IPC-A- 610 /KEJ J-STD-001 Certification · Complete hand solder training and pass post training assessment Week 2 – 6 months · Learn and comply with: Paperless Work Instruction Documentation System, ESD Requirements, Kronos Timekeeping, Standard Operation Procedures, and where necessary SAP defect recording and/or Valor traceability Recording · Begin On-The-Job-Training with assigned trainer; Listen and follow instructions · Participate in 45-day and 90-day review process · Communicate with other shifts to ensure that relevant information is shared for maximum understanding of production situations (i.e. quality issues, missing parts, machine issues, downtime, etc.) · Complete: § Training on basic schematic § Knowledge of Lead / Lead Free Soldering § Ability to read rework procedures § Knowledge of automated surface mount process § Knowledge of wave solder process § Removal/Replacement of solder, solder shorts, insufficient solder, excess solder, soldering parts in assemblies § Removal/ replacement of SMT/TH components § Possesses good computer navigation and reading § Can use equipment / tools - tweezers, solder iron, solder extractor, hot air pencil, and hot air reflow. Will rework printed circuit boards per specification § Has experience with soldering aids, solder braid, flux, roll solder, isopropyl alcohol § Inspect solder to IPC § Verify correct parts, polarity and orientation per color guide 6 months + · Cross train on 3-5 other jobs within the team/shift · Yellow Belt Training and required project · Participate in annual review process Other/ongoing expectations: · Keep personal data up to date and accurate in ESS · Follow all handbook practices · Maintain attendance record with less than 2% absenteeism rate · Work effectively as a team with other members of the line/group Kimball Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements
