Organization: 10N Acute Care Surgery 10 Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. . SHIFT: The person hired into this position will work three 12-hour shifts per week from 7a - 7p for a total of 36 hours per week, to include some weekends. This position will also require two call shifts in a six-week scheduling period Join the brand-new Acute Surgical Care unit coming to 10N, a 31-bed stepdown unit offering a unique opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up. Nurses will provide a stepdown level of care to adult patients either awaiting surgery or recovering post-operatively. The unit features a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. Please note this is inpatient/bedside position. Patient Population Includes : Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Patients Pre- and Post-Operative Surgical Patients Trauma and Med-Surg Overflow Why Jo in 10N?
