About The Position

INPATIENT PHARMACIST NAMPA MEDICAL CENTER SUMMARY: Provides pharmaceutical care to patients in the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center, Nampa. REQUIREMENTS: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Residency preferred. Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. HOURS: Rotating days, variable shifts. Four 10-hour days and e/o weekend. Start times could be: 6am, 630am, 7am, 11am, or 830pm SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Residency preferred. Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. Six months of inpatient, hospital experience preferred. Within 6 months of hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. E nsures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes. Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients’ use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards. Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues. Participates in various departmental duties, material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues. Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff. Excellent communication skills.
