About The Position

Provides nutritional care to patients through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, communication with nursing, physician and ancillary staff, and determines appropriateness of nutritional support and supplementation.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited program required
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship
  • Must be license eligible.
  • Licensed in the state of New Hampshire within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Completes nutrition screening within the established timeframe and conducts the nutrition assessment when warranted.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of metabolism and nutrition in relation to specialized area of patient care.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of food chemistry and macro, micro-nutrient composition for successful alteration of dietary program in a highly specialized population.
  • Participates as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated, patient-focused care.
  • Exhibits knowledge of food production and service systems in relation to safe, nutritious food products for patients.
