Inpatient Critical Care and Trauma Surgeon Needed in Massachusetts. The start date is 3/16/2026 and the end date is 6/15/2026. The length of assignment will be 3 Months or Longer. Credentialing Timeframe: 1-2 months, can expedite timeframe. Work Schedule: Weekday Shifts: 7a-4p, Weekday Call: 4p-7a, Weekend Call: 6a-7a. Some calls include coverage of emergency general surgery as well as trauma None to as many as 8 emergency general. Patient Volume: Trauma inpatient 30-50 (2 attendings cover during the service during the day). Procedures: 10 -20 trauma activations (blunt 90-95%) in any 24 hour period. Some calls include coverage of emergency general surgery as well as trauma. None to as many as 8 emergency general surgery consults. None to as many as 3 operative cases (emergencies only eg perforated viscous). EMR: Epic. License Needed: Prefers MA License, but will consider someone without a MA license. Certifications Needed: DEA and CSR Required. Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed: Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care. Support: Day and nighttime APPs (2 during the day, 1 at night); Residents (PGY3 or PGY 4, interns 2 during day or 1 at night)
