The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food & Nutrition is seeking an Inpatient Adult General Medicine-Cardiology Clinical Dietitian. This position uses Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for cardiology/general medicine adult and geriatric inpatients. Teaches Master of Clinical Nutrition Students. Participates in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s status according to age. The department intends to hire one candidate from either Clinical Dietitian I classification or Clinical Dietitian II classification, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
