Position Summary The Innovation Program Manager is a key driver of enterprise wide digital transformation, responsible for identifying, shaping, and scaling innovative solutions that leverage AI, automation, data, and modern digital platforms to materially improve operational efficiency, revenue performance, clinical enablement, and patient experience. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, partnering closely with Operations, Revenue Cycle, IT, FP&A, Accounting, Clinical Leadership, and external technology vendors to turn emerging capabilities into measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about advanced technology, fluent in digital transformation principles (including the digital front door), and highly effective at managing complex programs, portfolios, and cross functional initiatives in an enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, digital transformation, innovation, or technology‑enabled operations.
  • Experience in healthcare services, DSOs, multi-site healthcare, or payer/provider environments.
  • Exposure to or hands on experience with: o AI/ML use cases (e.g., forecasting, decision support, automation) o RPA or workflow automation platforms o Enterprise SaaS platforms (EHR/PMS, RCM, CRM, patient engagement) o Data platforms, analytics, or integration architectures
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2-Type2, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives in a complex, enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation principles, including digital front door concepts, workflow automation, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Hands‑on experience with project, program, and portfolio management methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall).
  • Proven business analysis and process engineering / process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end to end lifecycle of innovation initiatives, from ideation and business case development through pilot, scale, and enterprise adoption.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI, machine learning, automation (RPA), workflow orchestration, and analytics across: o Operations & shared services o Financial Planning & Analysis o Accounting o Human Resources o Revenue cycle management (RCM) o IT platforms and integrations o Clinical workflows and provider enablement o Patient engagement and the digital front door o Other business domains to be identified
  • Partner with business and clinical leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable innovation roadmaps.
  • Own and manage a portfolio of innovation programs, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy, ROI, and capacity.
  • Apply strong program governance, including: o Scope, timeline, budget, and dependency management o Risk identification and mitigation o Lead monthly Steering Committee for business and use case prioritization o Executive level reporting and dashboards
  • Coordinate across multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing speed, quality, and change impact.
  • Lead current state and future state process assessments across operational, clinical, and RCM workflows.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, success metrics, and value realization plans.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or process re engineering principles to simplify workflows prior to automation.
  • Ensure technology solutions are designed around user experience, scalability, and operational sustainability.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to IT, Operations, Finance, Clinical, Compliance, and Vendor Management teams.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.
  • Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption measurement.
  • Stay current on emerging trends in: o AI in healthcare and dentistry o Automation and workflow orchestration o Digital patient engagement platforms o Enterprise SaaS and data platforms
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to evaluate new tools, proofs of concept, and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure all data processes adhere to HIPAA, privacy regulations, and organizational security standards.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance teams on audits, risk assessments, and incident response.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and software providers.
  • Provide strategic direction to internal team and vendor partners based on identified and prioritized activities and/or projects.
