Internal candidates will also be prioritized over external applicants during this initial seven-day window. As part of our continued transformation and partnership with Transcend Education, Charlotte Central School (CCS) is seeking internal candidates to serve as Innovation Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. Innovation Coordinators play a pivotal role in supporting schools to adopt and sustain innovative practices. Innovation Coordinators often have a blend of expertise, facilitation skills, and a deep commitment to educational transformation. Transcend will provide training to support Innovation Coordinators to act as guides, coaches, and collaborators, working with their school teams to reimagine learning environments in alignment with CVSD district-wide student experiences, and tailored to the context of their specific school communities. The Innovation Coordinator will specifically lead and support the work of Design Teams at their school site, collaborating closely with administration, educators, and student leaders. Primary work will include leading your school community to: Understand how our current school design is in alignment with the district "blueprint" and what we might want to design/redesign to ensure extraordinary learning for all children in our community. Your community will form a design team, listen to students through surveys and interviews, and engage families and staff in various activities. Articulate clear rationale for design work and build clarity and conviction toward designing in connection to the district blueprint. Together with the design team, identify design incoherencies, clarify what to keep or change, and write a compelling rationale for our redesign effort. Envision or reimagine student experiences using community insights, research, and existing models. This will include adapting / adopting frameworks from Transcend to learn and design, and we gather broader community feedback, including from students. Test new experiences with teachers and students to understand attitudes, feasibility, impact, and sustainability of our design, understand implementation needs, and build conviction in the process. Reflect on and tend to your community conditions to implement your design, including where you might need to clarify the vision, build teacher and team capacity, grow our coalition, and strengthen a culture of learning. Chart a course for the year ahead by outlining priorities, goals, quarterly plans, and team roles in a clear journey plan. Innovation Coordinators will also work closely with the office of the Director of Learning and Innovation and with Innovation Coordinators on other campuses throughout the district.
