About The Position

What makes this process unique is that it goes beyond simply designing hardware improvements or conducting data analysis. Instead, our team takes ownership of the entire process, collaborating internally to see solutions through from start to finish. We are seeking a mid-level Innovation and Technology Reliability Engineer professional to join our team, focusing on technology development and program management. This role involves collaborating with the Research & Development teams to transform innovative ideas into concepts, prototypes, and ultimately, market-ready products. The position emphasizes access tooling, on-engine repair, durability improvements, and escalation avoidance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tool development, and innovation, with additional skills in 3D printing, CAD design, and engineering design methodologies that emphasize iterative problem-solving, experimentation, and customer-focused solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering environment or technology development, program management, or a related role.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

  • Engineering background or technician experience in a technology development or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the R&D team to identify and develop innovative solutions for access tooling, on-engine repair, durability improvements, and escalation avoidance.
  • Translate ideas into concepts, prototypes, and products that meet customer needs and industry standards.
  • Use iterative development processes to refine solutions based on testing and feedback.
  • Manage technology development programs, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive project execution and resolve technical challenges.
  • Prioritize customer needs and feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Ability to understand and correctly identify a problem by working to qualify the issue and come up with a valuable solution.
  • Understanding trends, evaluating the need/pain point, and putting action in place to close gaps.
  • Experiment with new approaches and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Apply engineering design principles to guide the development process, including iterative problem-solving and experimentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure project success.
  • Focus on delivering solutions that address customer pain points and add measurable value.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer support, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
  • Communicate project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
